Redmon, Peyton & Braswell represents individuals as well as small and mid-sized companies facing federal investigations or requiring outside counsel for internal investigations. One representation scenario is a Qui Tam action pending in the Alexandria federal court. A second scenario involves a larger law firm representing a major corporation in a federal investigation and seeking experienced counsel for individual officers or employees to avoid potential conflicts. Redmon Peyton & Braswell will be asked to undertake the individual representation. We also serve as Local Counsel in investigations or other complex matters in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Alexandria Division.

The Redmon, Peyton & Braswell Investigations Team draws upon decades of experience with Department of Justice investigations, and grand jury investigations in the federal courts in Washington and Alexandria, and more recently with SEC inquiries.

The Firm’s Investigations Team includes six attorneys:

  • Our Investigations Team includes a past-President of the Federal Bar Association, Alexandria Chapter. Jack Coffey is recognized in the Northern Virginia bar as one of the leading federal court trial lawyers in the region.
